One plan both parents (and grandparents) can see
Create the trip, tap Invite Collaborators and share the link with the rest of the family. Everyone who joins sees the same flights, hotels and activities, with each member's avatar on the trip — so nobody has to be the only person who knows what time the train leaves.
Pace your days: realistic family itineraries
A day-by-day timeline makes it easy to see when a day is overloaded. Plan one big activity in the morning, a relaxed afternoon and an early dinner, then drag cards to another day when you realise it's too much. Add notes for things like the nearest playground, a pool break or the restaurant with a kids' menu.
Don't have dates yet? Start with Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 and add the exact dates once school holidays are confirmed.
Packing checklists per person
Add a packing list for the trip and each family member who has joined ticks off their own items. Older kids can pack their own bags from the list while you see your own progress. Start from our travel packing checklist.
Keep passports, tickets and vouchers attached
Attach PDF tickets, booking vouchers and screenshots to the activity they belong to and preview them in the app. Flight cards hold the flight number, terminal, gate, seats and booking reference; hotel cards hold check-in times, room type and a local-language address for the taxi. When you're juggling kids and bags, everything is one tap away.
Sample family itineraries
Our 7-day Japan itinerary works well for families with older kids — trains are easy and Nara's deer are a guaranteed hit. 3 days in Bangkok mixes temples with markets, malls and river boats; plan sightseeing for mornings and keep the midday heat for a pool break.
Frequently asked questions
- Can my partner see the whole itinerary?
- Yes. Invite them with the trip's link and they'll see every flight, hotel and plan on their own phone. They can view the whole itinerary and tick off their own checklist, while you stay in charge of editing the plan.
- Do kids need their own account?
- Only if they want to tick off their own checklist items. Anyone who joins a trip needs a free account; younger kids can simply follow along on a parent's phone.
- Does RoamerPlanner work offline?
- RoamerPlanner needs an internet connection today. Save key documents to your phone as a backup for flights and areas with poor signal.
